Introduction

QR Rocket ("we", "us", or "our") provides a QR code generation platform at qrrocket.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website and services.

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use QR Rocket:

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password through our authentication provider. We also store your subscription plan and related billing identifiers.
  • QR code data. For dynamic QR codes, we store the destination URL, label, short link slug, status, and optional QR code images you upload.
  • Scan analytics. When someone scans a dynamic QR code, we record the scan timestamp and device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop). We do not collect precise location data from scanners.
  • Payment information. Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We receive and store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and subscription status. We do not store your full payment card details.

Static QR codes

Our free static QR code generator runs entirely in your browser. The URL you enter and the QR code image are generated locally on your device and are not sent to or stored on our servers.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the QR Rocket service
  • Create and manage your account
  • Host dynamic QR codes and redirect scans to your chosen destinations
  • Display scan analytics in your dashboard
  • Process subscriptions and manage billing through Stripe
  • Respond to support requests and communicate service-related updates
  • Protect against abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access

Third-party services

We use trusted third-party providers to operate QR Rocket. These services process data on our behalf:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting
  • Stripe — payment processing for paid plans
  • Wasabi — storage for uploaded QR code images

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We only share information necessary for them to perform their services.

Data retention

We retain your account and QR code data for as long as your account is active. Scan analytics are retained based on your plan:

  • Free plan: 30 days
  • Starter and Pro plans: 365 days
  • Business plan: 730 days

When you delete your account or QR codes, associated data is removed from our systems, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format

To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@qrrocket.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Cookies and sessions

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference (light or dark mode). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Children's privacy

QR Rocket is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of QR Rocket after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
